About me

I’ve been writing professionally for over a decade, and in that time I’m pretty sure I’ve covered every angle. Brochure copy, ad copy; tweets, emails, blogs; long copy, short copy; novels and short stories – I’ll write to fit any style, any tone of voice, carefully and accurately. I’ve written on a huge range of subjects, from motoring and technology to relationships and beauty, and from travel and hotel reviews to guttering and sustainable jewellery – in fact, it might be easier to list things I haven’t written about.

And after spending a great deal of time editing the work of other writers, I consider my editing skills to be first rate too. Polishing copy to help it go from good to great is what I enjoy most, and it’s what I’m best at. An eagle-eyed proofreader, I strive for perfection, but I’ll keep your tone of voice in, make sure your jokes stay put, and make only necessary tweaks to make it all flow beautifully.

I have a Masters in Modern and Contemporary Literature and a Diploma in Professional Proofreading, but more importantly, I’m good-natured, hard-working, and only very slightly obsessive about style and consistency. I’ll get the job done and I’ll do it quickly and thoroughly, and if you like I’ll even make hilarious jokes throughout the entire process (they are not hilarious and for that I apologise in advance).

I spend my free time working on new designs and commissions for my linoprinting hobby-turned-business PandaBlueCreations, and trying to stop my kids overfeeding the chickens, the dogs and the fish.
